The Verandah - International
cuisine in a family atmosphere, whether inside or on the boardwalk over the
ocean, expect great service! Bountiful buffet breakfasts every morning, lunchtime
buffet feasts with scrumptious desserts, and an international dinner menu featuring
French and Jamaican specialties. Don't miss the Beach Buffet by torchlight on
Wednesday or the famous Saturday Jamaican Buffet.
The Pier - Italian gourmet fare in a delightful setting. Dining
at this adults-only, a-la-carte restaurant gives a moment for romance. Service
is exceptional. Meals include elaborate antipasto displays, wine, a great choice
of salads, soups, pasta, tempting desserts and cheeses. Open for dinner five
evenings per week, from 6:30pm until 9:30pm.
Kidz Buffet - After an energetic and active day, children are
offered a great spread at the Kidz Buffet. A well balanced, buffet-style meal
designed for little palates is served on tables just the right height. The Kidz
Buffet goes from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm daily. Fruits, juices, milk, popular non-alcoholic
Daiquiris, softy ice cream and desserts. There are several activities available
to occupy children until the Kiddies Disco opens at 7:30 pm.
Beach Grill - For all-day snacks, the beach grill is open from
11:00 a.m. until 5:00 pm daily. Featuring popular specialties like Jamaican
beef, mouth-watering jerk pork and jerk chicken, simmered in your choice of
mild to piquant sauces. Chef also prepares a variety of all-time favorites like
pizzas, hamburgers and hot dogs.

The Franklyn D. Resort, located directly on the beachfront, features 76 spacious, air-conditioned suites housed in 8 low-rise buildings of distinct Georgian/ Mediterranean style architecture. Ideal for families, one and two-bedroom suites are beautifully furnished. Most have ocean view and are self-contained, with their own kitchen, LAN internet access and spacious balcony or terrace!

Activities
Specific programs are carefully designed to include activities that infants, children and teens love. Vacation Nannies are always there to accompany your children as they make their way through all the programs, activities and games the hotel has in store for them. The pool area features a separate shallow wading pool for toddlers and small children as well as a separate "slide" pool, which is quite a hit with the youngsters. Vacation Nannies will keep a close watch on the little ones so the parents can also relax while the kids splash and safely have fun. Kids can also enjoy sports facilities offered by FDR. There are soccer lessons and snorkeling lessons, glass-bottom boat rides and kayaks, tennis and basketball and bicycle rides.
