| General Facility Description |
| This is a truly great, value hotel with a good location. The lobby is large and decorated with traditional styled English Renaissance furnishings. The lobby has a high ceiling that features a spectacular chandelier. The flooring of the lobby is made up of two beautiful toned marbles, one dark and the other off-white. In addition to the marble there are beautiful area rugs throughout. The reception desk is made out of polished woods, and is located towards the rear of lobby, out of the way of the entrance and sitting areas. The hotel is very traditional as it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was originally constructed in 1926 and features fashionable English Renaissance architecture. The hotel has a sophisticated formal dining room that features a 32 ounce Prime Rib as well as fresh seafood. The restaurant was voted `Best of Philly` by Philadelphia Magazine. The is also a more causal restaurant opened for breakfast, and a cafe that serves delicious flavored coffees, pastries, sandwiches and snacks. |
