Located in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and nestled in an Ohia forest, historic Volcano House is constructed on the edge of Kilauea Crater, one of the most active volcanoes in the world.
General Facility Description
Volcano House is currently comprised of the Main Building, the Deluxe Wing, the Ohia Wing, a minute's walk from the main lobby, and the Namakani Paio Cabins, 3 miles from the main building.
Dining
Ka Ohelo Dining Room - This restaurant serves an eclectic blend of Continental, American and Pacific Rim Cuisines. Dinner offer selections featuring our tantalizing Roast Prime Rib, Lamb Chops, succulent King Crab Legs and mouthwatering seafood and pasta dishes.
Snack Bar - Offers visitors convenient and fast pick-up foods such as fresh sandwiches, fruit, salad, Chili, hot dogs, chips and other quick stop items.
Uncle George's Lounge - Another tradition that Volcano House has maintained and visitors have enjoyed for decades. Relax and enjoy some of our signature cocktail drinks such as the spectacular Pele's Fire, Kahlua Smoothies and Mai Tai's while partaking in the panoramic views of Kilauea and Mauna Loa Mountain.
Room Facility and Description
All rooms are furnished with rare Koa wood furniture for a touch of simple elegance that is uniquely Hawaiian. Some of the rooms have the specially designed Hawaiian-quilted comforters that were made to help keep our guests warm during cool mountain night. A small heater is also thoughtfully provided in each room.
