Juan Dolio and its neighbor beach town Guayacanes are for those who seek a couples or family restful vacation but like being able to take many excursions. If you are staying in Juan Dolio, you are equidistant from the culture, shopping and dining and nightlife of Santo Domingo. Just half an hour away from busy Boca Chica. The small towns of Guayacanes and Juan Dolio are set up along four interrupted stretches of road, following the shoreline. Juan Dolio has a boulevard and a main street where most hotels and restaurants are located. So you can walk, jog or cycle in safety here. There is a $10 tourist card fee (per person) to be paid upon arrival at the airport.

Golfing
Metro Country Club's Los Marlins Golf Course
The best golf in the Boca Chica-Juan Dolio area, located on the coastal highway not far from the Costa Caribe Resort has 18-holes, club house, restaurant, bar, carts and equipment rentals. Offers multiple tees to challenge golfers of all levels. The natural beauty of the site, the artistic landscaping and design, excellent practice facilities and the attractive Clubhouse and Pro shop, make Los Marlins a highlight of any golfing vacation.
Canyoning & Cascading
Canyoning/cascading is everything 'adventure' can offer you and more. These trips mean doing whatever it takes to take you from point A to point B in a river canyon: hiking, swimming, wading, rappelling, jumping, etc. Canyoning is the adventure many people believe was their most memorable experience during their visit to the Juan Dolio. When you go canyoning, you climb, you slide, you jump, you swim, and you smile. And you do all of this in the midst of truly incredible Dominican nature, consisting of lush tropical flora, limestone caves, amazing waterfalls and crystal clear pools.
Scuba Diving
House Reefs
On the house reef you can expect to find deep channels and ravines, a large diversity of soft and hard corals and the smaller but vibrantly colorful typical reef fish. Depths range from 30 to 100 feet and depend on the experience of the diver. Smaller life forms are abundant and make fantastic photographer. Visibility can be expected to be between 50 and 100 feet.
The Tanya V
Approximately 195feet/65m in length, the Tanya V now rests quietly on a sand bank at depth of 22-34m, making it a good deep dive for experienced, advanced divers. Although it's going to take time and patience for marine life to flourish, already Tanya V has acquired her very own barracuda guard!
Fishing
Fishing trips can be arranged at the Metro Hotel Marina. Marlin, dorado, barracuda and others.
Karting
Go Kart
This is a racetrack on the way to San Pedro de Macoris where go karts can be rented for a fast spin around the track. It features about 3 kms of challenging track.
Bowling
If you have time to spare we recommend the bowling alley at the Melia Juan Dolio Hotel.
Deep Sea Fishing
Deep Sea Fishing trips can easily be organized by your hotel. We recommend the Metro Hotel.
Horseback Riding
