Several protected areas may be visited from Liberia, including Santa Rosa National Park near the town of La Cruz and Rincón de la Vieja National Park. You should stay a minimum of 3-7 nights at any of the hotels in Guanacaste Province - some hotels require 5 nights stays during peak season. Papagayo Gulf is not a white sandy beach area.
