Greetings Beach Destinations! I flew my Mooney M20F from Santa Fe NM to Mazatlan. The flying to and from Mazatlan went pretty well, but there doesn`t seem to be a lot of information for pilots with regard to flying in Mexico. We checked into the Faro on the 15th, a day late. We were delayed getting out of Santa Fe by VERY high winds. The Staff at the Faro was fabulous. Cezar, Ernesto, Jose, Tenario, and the rest who`s names I cannot remember were just great. Arriving at the Faro is impressive with that large open space with the polished marble floor shows a lot of class. This resort use to be called the Camino Real, and at one time Ronald Regan stayed there for a summit with the president of Mexico! I was delighted that the room was NOT carpeted. First of all it was very clean and second of all it was easy to see that it was clean. The beach was magnificent The staff went way out of their way to be certain I had no complaints. The grounds were immaculate I totally loved the food, and the chef`s were fantastic. Glenn
