The Avalon Reef Club is situated on the famous Playa Norte beach which was voted one of the top ten beaches in the Carribean. It is located on the northern tip of the Island of Isla Mujeres, only six miles northeast of Cancun on the reef that separates the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. It is a 20-minute boat ride to the pier in Cancun, and an additional 20-minutes to the Cancun airport. The famous Mayan ruins and ecological parks are within driving distance.

The Avalon Reef Club Isla Mujeres has 133 guestrooms, studios, and suites. Standard rooms are located in an eight-story tower and feature ocean-view windows (no balconies). Studios and suites are located in two-story white villas with red-tile roofs set away from the tower in a section of lawns and paving-stone paths and feature large ocean-view balconies or ground-floor terraces. (The resort does not have accommodations specifically designed for people with disabilities.)
Guestroom entertainment options include 1 king bed or 2 double beds, air conditioning, color satellite TV (with English-language channels), radio/CD players, and complimentary DVD players (and DVD's on request), telephone, shower with bath amenities, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, safe, coffee maker and bottled water.
