Hi,
We had a great experience. The only problem was when we had origianlly booked at the Iberostar Tucan and then discovered the beach was in bad shape. I actually went when I was there and there are sandbags everywhere. Anyplace near Playa is like this. The Barcelo Tropical was gorgeous and the beach amazing! Thanks to your staff who realized our situation and got us out of Iberostar and into the Barcelo. It is a half hour drive to Playa but we rented a car at the airport so it was okay.

Set south of Cancun, and the international airport, along a mile long beach with a gorgeous coral reef, The Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach will be a magnificent All Inclusive beachfront resort complex in two adjacent hotels spread over acres of lush tropical gardens. Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach features colonial style architecture.
The resort will feature 8 restaurants: 2 buffet style and 4 specialty restaurants featuring Seafood, Oriental, and Mediterranean-Italian cuisine. There will be 6 bars; 2 lobby bars, 2 bars at the theatre and 2 wet bars. Convention room plus 4 meeting facilities for up to 850 people.
