This hotel is located directly on the white sands of Playa Paraiso on the Maya Riviera. It is 20 minutes from Playa del Carmen with its links to the public transport network, restaurants, bars and pubs. The resort lies less than 30 minutes from the city of Cancún and Cancún International Airport.

The hotel has a total of 5 pools including a slow river and a wave pool. It also features a gym, a poolside snackbar, sun loungers and parasols and a children's pool. A spa and beauty salon is available for an extra fee (located in the mall), where guests may enjoy a massage or spa treatment, a spa bath and a sauna. It is possible to take part in aqua aerobics and aerobics sessions, go motor boating, go cycling and play handball, bocce or billiards. The daily programme of activities on offer to guests includes: dance lessons, water polo, beach volleyball, basketball, archery, air rifle shooting and table tennis. The dive centre offers PADI catamarans, canoes and windsurfing at no extra charge (for a limited time and subject to availability), as well as diving and certification courses in diving for an additional fee. For children 4 to 12 years, the Lucy kids' club offers supervised activities. Moreover, for adults, there is a show every night with different live music and dancing in the auditorium and the hotel also offers a themed nightclub. The Iberostar Golf Club is available on site.
