This hotel is located across the street from Waikiki Beach and is near the world-famous Diamond Head Crater. The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of world-class dining and shopping venues, such as the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, the International Marketplace and the BeachWalk Entertainment Complex, as well as other local attractions, including Waikiki Aquarium and the Honolulu Zoo.
This popular resort hotel recently underwent refurbishment. Built on the land of Queen Liliuokalani's two summer residences, the hotel boasts 1,310 accommodation units. In the same tradition of the Queen, it invites guests to relax and enjoy Hawaiian culture by offering daily cultural activities, live music and showcasing native plant life throughout the property. Guests are welcomed into the hotel lobby at this air-conditioned establishment, which features a 24-hour reception and check-out service. Also available to guests are a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, lift access, a newspaper stand and a hairdressing salon, as well as 6 restaurants and a café for dining and drinks. Conference facilities are available, and room and laundry services are provided (fees apply). Parking and valet parking are both available. Self-parking: 30.00 USD per day. Valet-parking: 35.00 USD per day. Parking fees are inclusive of taxes and subject to change at the hotel's discretion.
The lobby contains a fax machine that acquires newspapers from all over the world. The hotel's casual restaurant offers a daily breakfast buffet, plus off-menu choices. Dinner menus are supplemented on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings by prime rib/crab leg buffets. An open-air spot overlooking the ocean serves light lunches and appetizers in the evenings accompanied by live Hawaiian music.
Effective September 1st, 2012 The Waikiki Beach Marriott will implement a mandatory Resort Amenities Program.
