Puerto Vallarta Vacations
|
| On Banderas Bay at the foot of lush tropical mountains on Mexico's Pacific coast, Puerto Vallarta has retained much of its charm as it has evolved from fishing village into a hip resort town. There's no lack of things to do. Stroll on the town's malecon (boardwalk), take a boat trip to Los Arcos Islands, go on a canopy tour in the tropical forest. From January to March you can watch humpback and gray whales up close. Cap it all off enjoying some seafood and a michelada at La Palapa on the beach as the sun sets over the Pacific. |

| Room Facility and Description |
Accommodations are in Palafitos, bungalows of indigenous construction, built on stilts over the edge of the estuary that surrounds the main group of structures. There is no electricity, candles provide illumination at night, and solar-powered ceiling fans provide optional in room cooling. Solar panels and hot water holding tanks are located outside each room, where water for showers is stored until needed. An inventive system for morning room service is employed. From the comfort of your bed, pull a rope and a red flag is hoisted, signaling that you are ready for your coffee. Bathrooms have bamboo showers that provide privacy while giving the feeling of extending out into the garden.
The hotel has decorated many rooms with a unique theme, the Mexican Lottery! The Mexican lottery is a game similar to Bingo, but their version relies on images rather than numbers. The hotel has chosen several images for the rooms, and decorated each villa uniquely in that theme.
