The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The pictured didn`t do it justice. The grounds, rooms, pools etc. were clean and well kept and very comfortable.
The food in the buffet and all the restaurants was delicious. Service in the restaurants was prompt for the most part.
The front desk/guest services could have been better. We were given a room that was already occupied. We walked into the room to find someone else in there. A shock to everyone! We quickly were given another room, but were told to turn in the old keys whenever we had the chance. We walked around with someone else`s key!!!! I hope no one had my key!
The specialty restaurants had little availability. There were either closed on some days or already booked up. But when you actually looked in the restaurant, it was less than half full! The Xcaret Park office made us come back the day before we planned to go to the park instead of allowing us to take care of it when we first arrived. It was inconvenient.
The nightly shows were fantastic! The staff is very talented and were a joy to watch.
The airport transfers were very convenient overall. When we were taken to the hotel we were told to meet a Hotelbeds rep the next day at 1pm in the lobby to schedule a pick-up. That person never showed up. We waited around for over 30 minutes and had to have guest services call to help us make arrangements.
Our tour to Chichen Itza was marvelous. Our guide was very knowledgable about the Mayan culture and took us "the long way" so we could see Mayan villages. I would have liked a little more time at the Cenote we swam in. This should be mentioned as a feature of this tour. I was unaware we were making a stop here - but I`m glad we did.
The Xcaret park was very enjoyable. We enjoyed the wildlife, snuba diving and snorkeling.
We were very pleased with our vacation booked throught BeachDestinations! I have already recommended you to several people. You have the best price on the Internet - and that is why I decided to book with you. Keep it up. I will check out BeachDestinations first for my next tropical get-a-way!
