Ideally located on a peninsula between Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, with 360 sunny days annualy, St Petersburg is known as "The Sunshine City."" The main attraction is The Pier, having a futuristic shape of an upside down pyramid with a glass elevator to transport you up to restaurants, a marine aquarium attraction, and a five-story view of Tampa Bay. There are some fascinating museums well worth visiting: the St. Petersburg Museum of History and Museum of Fine Arts, the Salvador Dali Museum, Florida International Museum, Florida Holocaust Museum and Heritage Village.
