St. Lucia was even more beautiful than we remembered! The people of St. Lucia are friendly and helpful. We were surprised at the number of very good restaurants. The Royal St. Lucian was up to expectation, almost five stars, with excellent restaurants and service. Our accommodations were just as promised. The grand deluxe suite overlooked the beach and was huge with a beautiful veranda and hot tub. The beach gets crowded with cruise people on some days; on others it was quite empty. The beach there is a 9! We would return and hope to soon.

A fine resort with a new spa, the Royal St. Lucia lies north of Castries. Standing in its own gardens of royal palms and tropical foliage, it opens onto a dramatic lobby. Everywhere you look, the setting is lush. The food is among the best hotel cuisine on the island, and candlelit beach dinners are a feature.
