Round trip transfers in Bora-Bora are mandatory; all hotels are located on an inlet, transfers are by boat and have to be pre-arranged.
We recommend you stay in Papeete (a.k.a. Tahiti) coming in and going out. This can save you $500 or more on your vacation and avoids potential misconnections with your inter-island flights. If you arrive in the evening there will be no connecting flights to the other islands.
